ASUS A53E-ES92 Review

The ASUS A53E-ES92 is a very interesting laptop indeed. It has a really good price and offers great quality for that price. I don’t know about the ranking of the laptops where you’re from, but here ASUS is a pretty big brand with a great deal of respect and history in the business. It is one of the older brands and one of the more reliable ones. They offer excellent customer services and their products rarely need such reparations.

Also, to make it a bit better, ASUS A53E-ES92 comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit installed on it. While that may not seem like much to you, know that Microsoft is having a killer deal at the moment if you’re into Microsoft Windows 8. If you purchase any device with any version of Microsoft Windows 7 already installed on it, you can easily upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for only 15 dollars.

Now, back to the matter at hand. This is a fairly good laptop and I don’t honestly think you will find something much better than this for the same price. It has all the necessary computing strength and features without the additional (and let us not forget – costly) bells and whistles. It still has a few interesting features, however. One of those features could be the fact that it has a USB 3.0 port. Also, another interesting fact about the ASUS A53E-ES92 is that you can upgrade the RAM from 4 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz RAM to 8 GB. Therefore, even with all of the strength limitations of this laptop, you can still improve it.

While it may not be the strongest device out there, ASUS A53E-ES92 as more than enough strength to withstand almost any task. Apart from gaming and advanced power use, this device should fit the taste of anyone. The fact that it comes for less than $450 dollars (at the time of this review) is added as a bonus.

Who is it for? discussing who would benefit most from this laptop...

  • Student
As far as I see it, a student is someone that has little time for any other activity apart from the school related ones. Since no hardware-demanding programs are used in schools / colleges / whatever, almost any computer that can fulfill the most basic of computer functions can handle it. ASUS A53E-ES92 brings just that. It has enough strength to handle almost anything you throw at it without actually stepping into the scene with extra Bells and Whistles (also, keep in mind that those extras also cost a lot more).

  • Casual User
As I see the world, a casual user isn't somebody that uses the computer too much. And even when they do use it, they use it for social networks, music and the occasional movie. Needless to say, the ASUS A53E-ES92 has the exact amount of power to satisfy any and all casual users without actually offering you any extra features that odds are you will never actually use.

  • Business User
A business user is some that uses the computer for his / her business purposes mostly. Those purposes don't really require all that hardware strength as they aren't really that hardware demanding in the first place. Therefore, as long as you aren't planning on doing a lot of multitasking, the ASUS A53E-ES92 laptop should be perfect. If you do plan on doing some multitasking, might I suggest upgrading the RAM first to the maximum amount of 8 GB before actually commencing. Otherwise, you may be a tad bit disappointed.

  • Power User
A power user is somebody that really stress tests the laptop. Therefore, the average power user will require a hefty processor and a heck of a lot of RAM. Not only that, but they have to be of a very good frequency as well. I would strongly not recommend the ASUS A53E-ES92 for a power user. I am of the opinion that if you truly want the best performance money can buy, you should be willing to pay that money. If you want something for power users, look for laptops above $600 dollars.

  • Gaming
As far as I see it, a gaming laptop is the apex of mobile technology. There are no other programs aside from games ( maybe the benchmarks ) that use all of the resources of a PC. Therefore, the gaming device has to have every component as strong as possible. I cannot stress enough how much this laptop (ASUS A53E-ES92) should be avoided if you want something for gaming. Gaming laptops are $800 dollars at the least, you won't find anything good among these devices.

PROs Vs. CONs

One of the best thing of the ASUS laptops (most of them, anyway) is their aspect. they have a cool aluminium brush around the keyboard and a ribbed plastic cover. Therefore, it makes the surface hardware to attract fingerprints and get scratched. Also, keep in mind that this is an ASUS laptop and thus it is more than strong enough. Also, should you have a problem with them, you'll find that their customer service is more than satisfactory.

One of the main disadvantages of the devices that come with an already installed Windows on them is the fact that they are loaded with all sorts of bad software programs and brandings. Nobody likes those programs and uninstalls them on their first use. Still, it's good for those with not enough time on their hands to get to installing an OS and the minimum software required.

User Reviews: what others think?

As far as I've seen, there are plenty of user reviews lying around. Some are good and some are more critical, however, I have yet to meet one saying they got a bad product. The most helpful review had nothing but good things to say about it. They said that this laptop was more than powerful enough to handle any and all tasks that they have tried to put it through. They held no regret whatsoever for the purchase. The most critical review I've seen was posted by somebody with not enough smarts as to turn off the trackpad. If you want to type a lot and don't want to worry about messing up thanks to the trackpad, don't hesitate to turn it off and use a mouse. I personally never use the trackpad.

Upgrade ASUS A53E-ES92 to 8GB of DDR3 RAM @ 1333MHz

Summary

In conclusion, I believe that the ASUS A53E-ES92 is more than good enough to fit the taste of any student, casual user or even the busting, young business users. This is a fairly good laptop that offers all of the required computing strength without actually paying for more bells and whistles that you may or may not require / use. The only people that I wouldn't recommend this laptop for are the Power Users and the Gamers.
